Your
flight from the USA to Cordoba will be on LAN airlines. They are
the premier air carrier in South America and are partners with
American Airlines. So don’t forget to give me your AA frequent
flyer number.
Upon your arrival in Cordoba, Cintia will meet you and assist
you with clearing customs and your guns. Then it is a quick 4.0
hour drive in a comfortable van with plenty of snacks and cold
drinks to the duck hunting area. You will be hunting in the
legendary duck hunting province of Santa Fe. The Santa Nora
lodge is located on the banks of the Parana River. Upon your
arrival at the lodge at approximately 4:00 p.m., lunch will be
served. Afterwards you can relax, unpack and prepare for the
next two days of incredible duck hunting.
A typical duck hunting day will begin with wake up at 4:15
a.m. Breakfast will be eggs, bacon, toast, fruit, coffee and
juice. You will depart at 5:00 a.m. Your bird-boy will be
waiting for you and will have you and the decoys in place before
daylight. It is important to be in the blinds prior to the sun
rising.
You will have plenty of shots at decoying and passing ducks
from your blind. We will stop shooting around 11:00 a.m.,
leaving time for some pictures and then back to the lodge for
lunch and a short nap. Wake up will be at 3:00 p.m. and you will
head out for more duck hunting at 3:30 p.m. You can substitute
Perdiz hunting or fishing for instead of ducks if you want.
After dark upon return to the lodge, you will have time to clean
up, tell a few stories and drinks before dinner.
After the two days of Duck hunting you will go by van 3 hours
away to the Dove hunting lodge located near the city of Selva.
Lunch will be waiting for you on your arrival. That afternoon,
you will be High volume dove hunting.
A typical Dove hunting day will begin with wake up at 7:00 a.m.
Breakfast will be eggs, bacon, toast, fruit, and coffee. The
drive to the hunting fields will range from 10 minutes to 30
minutes. You will be in place and start non stop shooting by
8:15 a.m.
We will break for lunch from 12 – 2 p.m. Lunch will be the
typical Argentina “Asado” that is grilled Beef, Pork, Chicken
and Sausage and all the fixings. After eating this meal, you
will want to take a short nap!
The shooting will start again shortly after 2:00 p.m. and
continue until you have had enough or it gets dark. Either way,
there will be more doves than you could possibly shoot.
Back at the lodge, after showering and cleaning up you will
have time for story telling and drinks before dinner. Dinner
will be fantastic since it is prepared by our locally famous
chef.
